The namesake rock
The town takes its name from a granite outcrop that can look blue in some light. It is a local landmark and part of how people here describe home.

La mappa
Pedra Azul Map Poster & Print
Pedra Azul lies in the northeast of Minas Gerais, a region of dry hills and large granite outcrops. From above, the town forms a tight, uneven cluster in a valley. Streets follow the lie of the land rather than a strict grid. At the edges, the built-up area thins quickly into farmland and bare rock, so the town has a clear, compact outline.
The town takes its name, which means blue stone, from a large granite formation nearby that can take on a bluish tone in certain light. Rock domes like this are typical of the landscape of this part of Minas Gerais. They give the country around the town an open, sculpted look that you can pick out even on a simple street map.
A Pedra Azul map poster shows a small Brazilian interior town at a scale where every street is easy to read. There are no highways cutting through the frame, only local roads that bend with the terrain. The result is a quiet, balanced print, well suited to a hallway, a study or a room where a lighter image works best.

Terrain-led streets
The streets bend around the slopes instead of forming a strict grid. This gives the map a loose, natural pattern that feels drawn by the land itself.
Clear town edge
The built-up area ends sharply where the open country begins. On the poster, the town reads as a single compact shape against a plain background.
