La mappa
Qeshm Map Poster & Print
Qeshm town lies at the eastern end of Qeshm Island, the largest island in the Persian Gulf, in Iran's Hormozgan province. From above it is a coastal town with water on several sides. Its streets spread back from a shoreline that faces the mainland port of Bandar Abbas and the small island of Hormuz across the channel.
The island is known for its geology and wildlife. Its eroded canyons, salt caves and rock formations are recognised as a UNESCO Global Geopark. The Hara mangrove forests, in the channel between the island and the mainland, are among the most important in the region. The island is also a free trade zone, which has driven much of the town's recent growth.
A Qeshm map poster balances land and sea. The sea fills a large part of the frame, and the town's newer planned streets meet a looser pattern near the waterfront. In the larger print sizes, the shoreline, harbour structures and coastal roads make a strong, clean layout that suits the island's spare desert setting.

Strait of Hormuz
Wider frames reach across the water toward the mainland and the island of Hormuz, placing the town on one of the most important sea passages in the world.
New street grid
Much of the town's growth follows a regular grid. This recent expansion is linked to the free trade zone and contrasts with the irregular coastline beside it.

Perché Qeshm
Una mappa che ha un significato
Qeshm draws visitors for its geopark landscapes, its mangroves and island life, and many leave wanting something more considered than a souvenir. A map of the town offers that, with the sea and streets in their true shapes.
The title and subtitle can be set to any wording, such as a travel date or a personal note, and the coordinates line is editable. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as $9 files or a printed poster.
