Raymore is in Cass County, Missouri, on the southern edge of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Its map is a clear example of how a modern American suburb grows. The main roads follow the square grid of the old land survey, one mile apart. The spaces between them are filled with curving residential streets, loops and cul-de-sacs that look almost ornamental from above.
