La mappa
Santa Cruz Map Poster & Print
Santa Cruz is the provincial capital of Laguna, in southern Luzon in the Philippines. It lies on the eastern shore of Laguna de Bay, the country's largest lake, and on the map the lakeshore gives the town a long, gently curving edge. The Santa Cruz River runs down to the lake here, and the older streets gather close to its mouth.
The town centre follows the Spanish colonial arrangement found across the Philippines: a plaza, a church and civic buildings at the heart, with a grid of streets extending outward. Beyond this core, roads branch toward neighbouring lakeside towns and inland. A Santa Cruz map poster shows this compact centre tucked between the river and the water.
Inland, the land rises gradually toward the uplands of eastern Laguna, and rice fields and coconut groves fill the lower ground. The river gorge and falls of Pagsanjan are a short distance away. In a monochrome print, the wide blank of the lake gives the whole map a calm, open feel.
