River valleys
Rivers and streams cut through the surrounding land, and their channels form the strongest natural lines on the map, guiding where roads and settlements can go.

La mappa
Santa Rosa Map Poster & Print
This Santa Rosa lies in the Junín region of Peru, in the selva central, where the eastern slopes of the Andes descend into Amazonian lowlands. From above, the landscape is dominated by rivers, steep green hillsides and scattered settlements. The town itself is a modest cluster of streets set within this terrain.
The selva central is known for its coffee, citrus and tropical fruit farms, and much of the land around Santa Rosa is used for agriculture. Roads follow valley floors and ridgelines, so the map shows long, curving lines that bend with the land rather than straight grids.
A Santa Rosa map poster captures a town shaped by water and slope. The compact centre sits among winding roads, with river channels and hill contours giving the design its movement. It is a different kind of Peruvian map from the coastal cities or highland towns, and the Blueprint style suits it particularly well.

Forested slopes
Steep hillsides covered in forest and farmland surround the town, leaving much of the frame open and giving the design a sense of height and depth.
Compact town centre
The town's streets gather in a small, dense cluster on the flatter ground, a clear focal point within the looser network of rural roads.

Perché Santa Rosa
Una mappa che ha un significato
Santa Rosa suits people who have lived or worked in the selva central, or families from the region now living in Lima or abroad. A map of its streets is a reminder of a green, river-cut landscape that few people outside Peru know.
