Compact centre
The town's streets gather tightly at the meeting of local roads. They form a dense focal cluster that stands out clearly against the countryside.

La mappa
Shaoyun Map Poster & Print
Shaoyun lies in the western part of Chongqing, where the land folds into low, rounded hills at the edge of the Sichuan Basin. This countryside is more rolling than mountainous. Roads wind between hilltops, fields and ponds fill the hollows, and towns sit where routes meet.
From above, the town appears as a compact grouping of streets surrounded by an intricate rural pattern: curving field edges, small reservoirs and farm tracks following the lie of the land. Newer building extends outward along the main roads, while older lanes stay close to the centre.
A Shaoyun map poster turns this into a finely detailed, organic print. The built-up area forms a clear focal point, and the hills, water and paths around it provide an even, flowing texture. It is a portrait of a typical western Chongqing town, grounded in the landscape around it.

Ponds and reservoirs
Small bodies of water are scattered through the hollows between hills. They add rounded, solid shapes that break up the fine lines of the roads and fields.
Contour-following tracks
Farm roads and paths curve around the low hills rather than crossing them. This gives the outer map a soft, looping rhythm.
