The Oka River
The wide Oka passes the town in long curves. Its line anchors the whole print and separates the built-up bank from the open country beyond.

La mappa
Shilovo Map Poster & Print
Shilovo sits on the Oka River in the eastern part of Ryazan Oblast, where the river swings through broad, flat country. From above, the town reads as a compact cluster of streets on the higher bank. Beside it the floodplain opens out in pale bands of meadow, oxbow lakes and abandoned channels that the Oka has left behind over centuries.
The street pattern is modest and practical. A few longer roads carry traffic through the district centre, and between them runs a loose grid of residential lanes lined with houses and gardens. On a black-and-white print, the tight town fabric sits against the empty spread of water meadow, and that contrast gives the composition a strong, quiet balance.
A Shilovo map poster suits anyone with roots in this part of the Ryazan countryside, where the Oka shapes both the landscape and the rhythm of the year. The river is the reference point for everything here. On the map it is the line the eye follows first, curving past the town before it carries on east toward the Volga.

Floodplain lakes
Oxbows and old channels are scattered across the meadows near the river. They are drawn as small crescent shapes that add texture to otherwise open ground.
Low-rise street grid
Residential lanes form a loose, regular pattern of blocks and garden plots, typical of a Russian district town, and read as fine hatching at larger print sizes.
