La mappa
Soubré Map Poster & Print
Soubré lies in southwestern Ivory Coast on the Sassandra River, one of the country's major rivers, which flows south from here toward the Atlantic. The town sits on the river in rolling, forested country. On a map the water is the defining line: a broad, curving channel with the streets gathered beside it.
Just outside the town, the Soubré hydroelectric dam, completed in 2017 at the Nawa Falls, is one of the largest power stations in Ivory Coast. The dam and its reservoir have changed the shape of the river nearby. They add a wider expanse of water to the map and a straight concrete line across the current.
The Soubré region is one of the most important cocoa-growing areas in the world's leading cocoa-producing country, and the town is a market centre for the farms around it. A Soubré map poster shows the town with its river, the roads that lead out to the plantations and the steady geometry of a working regional centre.

Dam and reservoir
At the Nawa Falls, the hydroelectric dam cuts a straight line across the river, and the reservoir above it widens the water on the map.
Roads into cocoa country
Routes lead out from the town into the farmland around it. They form long arms that connect Soubré to the plantations and villages of the region.

Perché Soubré
Una mappa che ha un significato
For families from the Nawa region, and for people who have worked on its farms or at its dam, Soubré is a place of livelihood and home. A map of the town gives that connection a calm, lasting place on the wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a short phrase in French, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits a town defined by its river and its dam.
