Teutoburg Forest edge
The wooded ridge rises to the north of the town, marking where the street network thins out and giving the map a natural boundary on one side.

La mappa
Steinhagen Map Poster & Print
Steinhagen lies in the Gütersloh district of North Rhine-Westphalia, just west of Bielefeld, where the flat Westphalian lowland meets the southern edge of the Teutoburg Forest. The map shows a modest central area with a church and main street, surrounded by residential neighbourhoods laid out in curving roads and cul-de-sacs, and then farmland and scattered farmsteads beyond.
The municipality includes outlying places such as Amshausen, closer to the forest ridge, and Brockhagen to the south-west, each with its own small cluster of streets. A motorway crosses the area, and the railway line toward Bielefeld gives the town a clear diagonal. To the north, the wooded hills bring the built area to a natural edge.
Steinhagen is known across Germany for Steinhäger, the juniper spirit that takes its name from the town and has been distilled here for a long time. A Steinhagen map poster captures the everyday layout behind that name: the centre, the quiet residential rings, the neighbouring villages and the green line of the forest to the north.

Amshausen and Brockhagen
Smaller settlements within the municipality appear as separate clusters of streets, connected to the main town by country roads through fields and patches of woodland.
Rail and road lines
The railway and motorway cut through the area in long lines, organising the loose suburban pattern and linking Steinhagen with Bielefeld and the wider region.
