Canal lines
Irrigation canals cross the plain in long, straight lines. They are the most important structure on the map and the reason for the orderly field pattern around town.

La mappa
Tandlianwala Map Poster & Print
Tandlianwala is a tehsil town in Faisalabad District, in the heart of Punjab's canal colony farmland. The land here is almost completely flat. The map is shaped by irrigation: straight canals and distributaries cut across the plain, and field boundaries follow them in a regular pattern that stretches to the horizon.
The town is a compact knot within that grid. Older lanes near the bazaar are close and irregular, while newer streets are wider and straighter. Roads leave the town toward Faisalabad and the surrounding villages. Each village appears on the map as a small cluster set among the fields.
A Tandlianwala map poster draws out the contrast between the dense town centre and the calm, measured farmland around it. There are no hills or coastlines here. Instead, the geometry of canals and fields gives the design its structure, and in black and white it looks almost like a textile pattern.

Perché Tandlianwala
Una mappa che ha un significato
Many Tandlianwala families now live in Lahore, Faisalabad, the Gulf or the UK, yet they still describe home by its canal, its bazaar and the road to the village. A map poster puts that geography on the wall.
Add a title in English or Urdu transliteration, a village name or date as the subtitle, and your own coordinates. Choose from Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes six sizes as PNG and PDF, and printed versions can be framed.
