Upland setting
The town occupies raised ground above the coastal plain. The roads that climb towards it from the north follow the terrain in long, gentle curves.

La mappa
Tarhuna Map Poster & Print
Tarhuna stands on high ground southeast of Tripoli, where the coastal plain rises into rolling uplands. From above, the town is a cluster of streets gathered around a central area, with roads leaving in several directions towards the coast and the villages around it. The land nearby is cut by wadis, dry valleys that carry water only after rain and leave faint branching lines on the map.
The district is known for farming, especially olives, and the land around the town is divided into groves and fields that show up as a fine, regular texture. Farms and small settlements are scattered along the roads rather than gathered in one place. As a result, the built-up area fades gradually into the countryside instead of ending at a clear edge.
A Tarhuna map poster shows the town within its landscape. It captures a modest urban core, the routes that link it to Tripoli and the Mediterranean, and the pattern of valleys and farmland around it. It is a quieter map than those of coastal cities, shaped more by terrain than by water.

Wadis
Seasonal dry valleys branch across the surrounding land. They draw thin, irregular lines that give the outer parts of the print a natural, almost hand-drawn quality.
Olive country
Groves and farm plots extend around the town in every direction. They reflect the farming character of the district and fill the edges of the map with an even, quiet pattern.

Perché Tarhuna
Una mappa che ha un significato
Tarhuna is a place people carry with them: family land, a childhood home, a town left behind for Tripoli or somewhere further away. A map records its streets and surroundings without sentiment, which often makes it the most personal image of all.
Add a title in the spelling you prefer, a subtitle such as a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. The styles range from the stark contrast of Noir to the warm tone of Sand, and a free watermarked preview shows the result before you buy.
