Old-town core
The medieval centre is a tight knot of narrow, irregular streets and small squares. It stands out clearly from the wider modern avenues around it.

La mappa
Tàrrega Map Poster & Print
Tàrrega is the capital of the Urgell comarca in the province of Lleida, set on the wide, level plain of inland Catalonia. On the map, the old town is a dense, irregular core of narrow streets near the course of the Ondara, a modest river that often runs almost dry. Wider avenues and newer blocks surround the centre.
Beyond the town, the land is very flat and systematically divided. The plain is irrigated by the Urgell canal system, and from above it breaks into regular fields and straight tracks. That gives the poster a strong contrast between the crowded medieval streets and the geometric farmland around them. A small hill beside the town adds a rounded shape on one side.
Tàrrega is best known for FiraTàrrega, its annual performing-arts fair, which fills the streets and squares with theatre every September. A Tàrrega map poster shows the streets that festival uses as its stage, set in the ordered landscape of the Urgell.

The Ondara
The small river passes the town as a thin, winding line. It is a gentle natural element on a map that is otherwise mostly straight lines.
Irrigated plain
Canal-fed fields and straight farm tracks divide the flat land into a regular grid. The pattern frames the town on every side.
