Ţubarjal lies in the Al Jawf region of northern Saudi Arabia, in the broad, low depression of Wadi as-Sirhan that runs toward the Jordanian border. The town itself is laid out with wide streets and fairly regular blocks. On the map, however, the most eye-catching feature is what surrounds it: rows of circular fields created by centre-pivot irrigation.
These green circles, drawn on otherwise bare desert, give the area its unmistakable look from above. Al Jawf has become one of the kingdom's important agricultural regions, known in particular for large olive plantations. Main roads run through Ţubarjal and connect it with Sakaka to the east and toward the border crossings to the northwest.
