Delta waterways
Rivers and narrow channels cross the district in loose curves, dividing the land into irregular pieces and giving the poster its most distinctive lines.

La mappa
Tungipara Map Poster & Print
Tungipara sits in Gopalganj District in the southwest of Dhaka Division, deep in the flat country of the Ganges delta. From above, the land looks cut into pieces by water. Rivers, channels and ponds break the ground into irregular plots, and the roads follow raised embankments instead of straight lines. The built-up area is loose and spread out, with settlements strung along the higher ground.
The town is known across Bangladesh as the birthplace of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country's founding leader, whose mausoleum complex stands here and draws visitors from all over the country. On the map this gives the centre a clear anchor, a planned, open site set among the finer grain of homesteads, fields and water around it.
A Tungipara map poster turns all of this into a study in line and water. Thin roads bend with the embankments, channels curl through the fields, and the town gathers into small clusters rather than a dense core. In black and white, the delta's shape becomes easy to read. You can see how a place built on shifting, wet ground arranges itself around rivers, not the other way round.

Mausoleum grounds
The memorial complex of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman forms a more ordered, open space within the town, easy to pick out against the scattered homesteads around it.
Embankment roads
Roads tend to run along raised ground between water and fields, so the street pattern bends and branches instead of forming a grid.

Perché Tungipara
Una mappa che ha un significato
For many Bangladeshis Tungipara is a name tied to national history, and for families from Gopalganj it is simply home. A map of its rivers and lanes makes a quiet, personal way to keep that connection on the wall.
You can add your own title, a subtitle and a coordinates line, perhaps a family name or a meaningful date, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
