Vaso is a town in Kheda district of Gujarat, in the Charotar region between Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The land here is flat and heavily farmed, and from above the town appears as a dense cluster of streets sitting among a patchwork of fields and roads linking it to nearby villages.
The older part of the town has narrow lanes and joined houses, the pattern of a traditional Gujarati settlement where streets often end in small squares or around a temple. Ponds and water tanks, typical of towns on these plains, make pale open shapes within or beside the built area. Newer houses and roads spread out from this core.
