Planned centre
The town centre is organised around a main square and straight streets, a regular pattern that contrasts with the more irregular lanes on the outskirts.

La mappa
Venëv Map Poster & Print
Venëv is a small historic town in Tula Oblast, south of Moscow. On a map it shows the structure of many older Russian towns: a central square and main streets laid out in a fairly regular plan, a river valley curving along one side and quieter residential lanes spreading outward into gardens and fields.
The town's history reaches back several centuries, and its centre retains churches and older buildings that stand out in the modest townscape. Around the edges, the map loosens into private houses with long plots, typical of provincial central Russia.
A Venëv map poster pairs order and landscape. The planned centre, the river's bends and the open land beyond create a varied image with a clear focal point. It suits those who know the town or have family roots in the Tula region, and it rewards a slow look at the detail.

River valley
A river curves along the edge of the town, its valley shaping the layout and adding a natural line that frames the older district.
Garden plots
Outer streets are lined with houses and long garden plots, and the pattern gradually opens into fields, giving the map soft, spacious edges.
