La mappa
Wekiwa Springs Map Poster & Print
Wekiwa Springs is a community in Seminole County, Florida, north of Orlando and next to Apopka. Its map is typical of Central Florida suburbs built in woodland. Streets curve around small lakes and end in cul-de-sacs, subdivisions sit between stretches of trees, and larger roads link it to the wider Orlando area.
The community takes its name from Wekiwa Springs, a natural spring at the headwaters of the Wekiva River. The spring and much of the surrounding land are protected in Wekiwa Springs State Park, where the river begins its course north toward the St. Johns River. On the map, this protected land is a large area with very few roads.
A Wekiwa Springs map poster shows the contrast between the looping suburban streets and the open, green land of the park. Lakes appear as rounded shapes throughout, making this a softer, more organic map than a city grid.

Winding subdivisions
Curving roads and cul-de-sacs make up the residential areas. They form a looping, irregular pattern very different from a regular grid.
Scattered lakes
Small lakes appear throughout the community. Their rounded outlines break up the street pattern and add character to the map.
