La mappa
Westmont Map Poster & Print
Westmont is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, in the western suburbs of Chicago. On a map it is a regular, orderly place, a grid of residential streets that follows the square survey lines of the Midwest. Main roads divide it into neat sections, and a commuter railway runs east–west through the middle.
The Metra line toward downtown Chicago shaped Westmont's growth, and the small downtown gathers near the station. A Westmont map poster shows the tracks cutting across the grid, the commercial strips along the main roads, and the quiet streets of homes that fill the blocks between them.
Parks and school grounds appear as open green rectangles within the residential fabric. Along its borders Westmont merges into neighbouring suburbs with no natural break, so the village's outline on the map is defined by streets rather than rivers or hills.
