La mappa
Yinzhu Map Poster & Print
Yinzhu is a town in the Huangdao District of Qingdao, in eastern Shandong. It is part of the Qingdao West Coast area, which has grown rapidly in recent decades. It lies inland from the Yellow Sea in a landscape of low hills, small rivers and farmland. From above, the older villages appear as compact clusters, while newer roads cut across the land in long, straight lines.
The meeting of old and new defines the map. Traditional village streets follow the gentle contours of the land. Wide avenues, industrial parks and new residential districts are laid out on a larger, more regular scale. Streams running down from the hills add softer, curving lines between the two.
A Yinzhu map poster records a place in transition, where rural patterns and urban planning sit side by side. Classic black & white shows the contrast between the two scales clearly. Noir gives the new avenues a sharp, graphic presence against the finer, older lanes that wind between them.

Older villages
Compact clusters of traditional houses and narrow lanes survive among the newer developments, giving the map pockets of fine, dense detail.
Hills and streams
Low hills and small waterways shape the landscape around the town, adding gentle curves that soften the geometry of the planned districts.
