Al ‘Aqīq lies in the Al Bahah Region of southwestern Saudi Arabia, in the uplands east of the Sarawat mountains. The landscape here is dry and open, with rocky ground, seasonal wadis and scattered agricultural areas, and the map reflects that. Settlements appear as small clusters linked by long roads that follow valleys and the natural lines of the terrain.
The street network is modest, with a central area of shops, homes and public buildings and a few main roads extending outward. Beyond the town, the pattern becomes sparse. Roads cross open land in long curves, and dry riverbeds leave faint traces across the landscape.
