Alborada Jaltenco is a residential development in the municipality of Jaltenco, in the State of Mexico, on the northern edge of the Mexico City metropolitan area. Seen from above it looks quite unlike an old Mexican town. There is no central plaza grown over centuries. Instead, a planned pattern of narrow streets and uniform housing blocks repeats across flat land.
The estate is part of a wider wave of housing built across the northern valley, where fields and new neighbourhoods now sit side by side. Main access roads border the development and connect it to Jaltenco, Zumpango and the highways heading south toward the capital.
