Aliso Viejo Map Poster & Print
Aliso Viejo is one of Orange County's master-planned communities. It was built mostly from the 1980s onward and became a city in 2001. From above, it looks nothing like the grids of older American towns. Streets curve along the contours of low hills, residential loops end in cul-de-sacs, and a few main arterials connect the neighbourhoods.
The strongest feature on the map lies just outside the housing. Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park runs along the western side, and its steep canyons and ridgelines drop toward the coast at Laguna Beach. The contrast between built-up curves and open canyon land is very clear.
