Allison Park is a community north of Pittsburgh, mostly within Hampton Township in Allegheny County. It is not a formal municipality, and its name is best known through its post office and local identity. On the map, it is recognisably western Pennsylvania suburbia, shaped by steep, wooded hills rather than flat ground.
The roads here rarely run straight. They follow ridgelines and stream valleys, and residential streets curve into loops and cul-de-sacs on the slopes.
