American Canyon Map Poster & Print
American Canyon is the southernmost city in Napa County, California. It is a young city, incorporated in 1992, on the route between the Bay Area and the wine country. Highway 29 runs north–south through it, and most of the town's streets branch off that corridor.
To the west the land drops towards the Napa River and a wide area of tidal marsh and restored wetland. To the east it rises into grassy hills. The residential neighbourhoods between them are made of curving streets and cul-de-sacs, a typical late-twentieth-century suburban pattern.
An American Canyon map poster shows three bands side by side: the loops and curves of the suburbs, the straight line of the highway, and the branching channels of the river marshes, which look almost botanical on paper.
