Bāda lies in central Rajasthan, on the open, semi-arid plain between the Aravalli hills and the lands to the east. On a map, it is a compact settlement. There is a knot of narrow lanes at the centre and wider roads at the edges, and the fields around it are divided into irregular plots. The land is fairly flat, so roads run in long, simple lines.
