Highway spine
The main road toward Agra cuts straight through the town and is its most visible line, with the densest buildings lining both sides.

Basi Map Poster & Print
Basi lies in the Jaipur district of Rajasthan, east of the state capital on the road toward Agra. It is a working town, and from above the main road is its most obvious feature, running straight through the centre with markets and houses gathered closely along it.
Off the main road, the older part of town is a close network of lanes, with compact blocks and small courtyards typical of market towns in eastern Rajasthan. Newer houses extend along the roads in looser lines, showing the direction the town has grown.
Around the edges the land opens into farm plots, with low ridges of the Aravalli range visible in the wider region. A Basi map poster shows a place defined by its road and its fields, a small town on one of the main routes out of Jaipur.

Old lanes
Behind the main road, narrow lanes and closely packed houses form an irregular, fine-grained pattern that contrasts with the straight highway.
Surrounding fields
Beyond the built-up area, farmland spreads out in small plots and field tracks, giving the edges of the map an open, even texture.
