Beisu Map Poster
Beisu is a town in Hebei province, on the North China Plain, not far from the provincial capital, Shijiazhuang. The land here is very flat and heavily farmed, so from above the whole area is organised by straight lines: roads, canals, field edges and village boundaries.
The town itself is a denser cluster within that grid. Its main streets are laid out at right angles, with smaller residential blocks filling the spaces between them. Beyond the built-up edge, rectangular fields stretch in every direction, broken only by villages and by the roads connecting them.
A Beisu map poster shows the kind of ordered plain landscape that feeds much of northern China. With no hills or coastline to interrupt it, the structure of the land reads clearly, and in a minimalist print the geometry comes across as calm rather than monotonous.
