Belaya Glina is a village in the northeast of Krasnodar Krai, in the flat farming steppe that stretches toward the Stavropol and Rostov regions. The name means white clay. Like many settlements in the Kuban, it is spread out generously, with wide streets and deep household plots. As a result, its outline on the map is much larger than its population would suggest.
The street plan is a long rectangular grid of wide parallel streets, and a railway line passes close by. At the edges the pattern gives way to large fields divided by windbreak tree belts, typical of the Kuban steppe, which show as fine straight lines. The overall impression is order and generous space.
