Boca Del Mar is a community in Palm Beach County, Florida, lying just west of the city of Boca Raton. From above it looks like a typical South Florida planned development, with residential streets looping around golf fairways, artificial lakes and canals, and main roads running straight across in a regular pattern.
Golf and water define the map. Long, winding fairways thread between neighbourhoods, bordered by houses and condominiums on either side, while lakes created during development appear as open, irregularly shaped spaces. The contrast between these soft, sweeping forms and the straight arterial grid of South Florida gives the map its structure.
