Bologoye Map Poster & Print
Bologoye is in Tver Oblast, roughly halfway along the railway between Moscow and Saint Petersburg, among the lakes and forests of the Valdai region. From above, two elements dominate. Railway lines converge at the junction and form broad corridors, and lakes surround the town, with Lake Bologoye pressing close to the streets.
The town's growth is linked to the line from Moscow to Saint Petersburg, completed in the nineteenth century. Its position at the midpoint made it a natural stop and later an important junction. The lakes give the area a quieter, softer side and draw people who come for the water and woods.
A Bologoye map poster brings those two worlds together. The straight rail corridors with their yards and branches cross the composition, while the lakes curve around the town as irregular pale shapes. The streets sit in between. Smaller lakes are scattered through the surrounding forest. Their irregular outlines contrast with the straight lines of the tracks and streets.
