Bopal Map Poster
Bopal lies on the western edge of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Once a separate village, it has become one of the city's fastest-growing residential areas. On a map the old village core is still visible as a knot of irregular lanes. Around it spread the larger, more regular blocks of modern apartment societies and gated communities.
The Sardar Patel Ring Road runs nearby and gives Bopal quick connections to the rest of Ahmedabad and to the highways beyond. Its arrival helped drive much of the growth in the area. Planned roads, schools and commercial strips now fill land that was farmland not long ago.
