Bozyazı lies on the Mediterranean coast in the western part of Mersin Province, where the Taurus Mountains come close to the sea. From above, the town stretches along a narrow coastal strip, with the coastline forming a clear edge on one side. The coastal highway runs parallel to the shore, and streets fan out from it toward the slopes.
The narrow plain around the town is heavily cultivated, and greenhouses cover much of the flat land, appearing on the map as tight rectangular patterns. Banana and other fruit growing are common in this warm stretch of the Turkish coast. Behind the town, the ground rises quickly into rugged hills cut by streams.
