Castaic Map Poster & Print
Castaic is an unincorporated community in northwestern Los Angeles County, just beyond Santa Clarita. Its map is shaped by the land around it. Neighbourhoods fill the canyon floors and lower slopes, while steep, empty hills rise all around. Interstate 5 runs north through the area toward the mountain pass that leads to the Central Valley.
The main landmark is Castaic Lake, a large reservoir held back by a dam just north of town. Its branching arms reach into the surrounding canyons, and a smaller lagoon sits below the dam. On a map, the water forms irregular fingers of open space that stand out sharply against the fine residential streets to the south.
