Chaksu Map Poster & Print
Chaksu lies in Jaipur district, about forty kilometres south of the state capital, on the flat plains of eastern Rajasthan. The map shows a dense old town of narrow, irregular lanes with newer roads and colonies spreading around it. Farmland surrounds everything, divided by field boundaries and village tracks.
The town is known across the region for the annual fair of Sheetla Mata, held at a hilltop temple near Chaksu. The fair draws large crowds of pilgrims from surrounding districts every spring. The rocky hill is one of the few raised features in an otherwise level landscape.
A Chaksu map poster brings out the contrast between the tightly packed old centre and the open plain. Main roads leave the town toward Jaipur and the south, and village lanes branch into the fields. It is an honest, detailed portrait of an old Rajasthani market town.
