Contour-following lanes
Lanes bend around the low hills instead of cutting across them. The result is a soft, organic linework that fills the frame evenly.

Chelambra Map Poster & Print
Chelambra lies in Malappuram district, in northern Kerala, not far inland from the Kozhikode coast. Like much of this region, it has no hard edge. From above, houses are scattered among coconut and areca gardens, and narrow lanes wind over low hills and down into paddy-filled hollows. Town and countryside run into each other with no clear line.
That is what makes it interesting on a map. There is no grid and no single centre. Instead, a busier main road forms a spine, and a network of curving lanes branches off it to follow the contours. Small ponds and wetland strips mark the low ground, so the landscape shows through even in pure line work.
A Chelambra map poster captures this dispersed Kerala pattern, closer to lace than to a city block. In black and white, the lanes look like fine veins across the paper. For anyone who grew up walking them, the curves of their own route home are easy to pick out.

Main road spine
A through road carries most of the traffic and the shops. On the poster it reads as the one steady line among the curves.
Paddy hollows
Low, wet ground between the hills stays mostly free of buildings. These areas become calm open spaces in the composition.

Chelambraを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Many families in Malappuram have members working far from home. For them, a map of Chelambra is a quiet, precise reminder of the lanes and houses they return to.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a house name or a year, and a coordinates line. Then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
