Delījān lies in Markazi Province in central Iran, on the high plateau along the main route between Qom and Isfahan. Its map reflects the dry landscape around it: a compact town of streets and alleys surrounded by open, lightly marked ground, with the highway passing close by as a clear, straight line.
The older parts of the town show the tight, irregular lanes typical of Iranian settlements on the plateau, while newer districts follow a more regular grid. Around it lie farmland, orchards and dry plains, with mountains rising in the distance, and the town serves as a local centre for the surrounding villages.
