Didy Map Poster
Didy is a rural commune in the Alaotra-Mangoro region of eastern Madagascar, in the uplands between the Lake Alaotra basin and the forested escarpment toward the coast. On a map, the built-up area is small: a loose cluster of streets and paths set among fields, rice terraces and rolling hills.
Much of what the map shows is the land around the settlement rather than the settlement itself. Tracks lead outward to villages and farms, streams follow the valley floors, and larger areas of forest lie beyond the cultivated ground. The layout is informal and follows the terrain instead of a planned grid.
