Doukouya is a town in the Goh-Djiboua district of Ivory Coast, in the forested centre-west of the country. It is a small place, and on a map its built-up area forms a modest cluster of streets surrounded by farmland and patches of woodland, linked to neighbouring towns by regional roads. Like many towns in the region, it serves the farms and villages around it.
The layout is compact. A few main roads run through the town, and smaller lanes branch off between houses and yards. Toward the edges the streets give way to tracks and footpaths leading into the fields. Across this region much of the land is used for cocoa, coffee and food crops, and the map around the town shows that mix of cultivation and remaining forest.
Because the town is small, the best framing is close in, with enough detail to show individual streets and the roads that carry people and harvests to larger centres.
