Draa Ben Khedda is in Tizi Ouzou Province in Kabylie, northern Algeria, a short distance west of the provincial capital. It lies in the valley of the Sebaou River, one of the main rivers of the region. From above, the town sits on the lower, flatter ground, with hills climbing on either side.
The valley floor is the region's main transport corridor, so roads and development run along its length. Around the town, orchards and fields fill the flat land, and the hill villages typical of Kabylie are scattered across the higher slopes.
