Firmat Map Poster & Print
Firmat lies in the south of Santa Fe province, in the heart of the Argentine pampa. The land here is almost perfectly flat, some of the most productive farmland in South America. On a map, the town looks like a precise rectangle of square blocks set in an equally regular landscape of large fields, straight rural roads and occasional clusters of trees around farmhouses.
Like many pampa towns, Firmat grew around the railway, and the tracks still form a strong line across the map. Station grounds and sidings give an open strip near the centre. The street grid orients itself around the tracks and the main plaza, with public buildings and parks placed on the standard plan.
A Firmat map poster is almost pure geometry. With no hills, rivers or coastline, every line on the print is straight, and the only variation comes from the railway angle, diagonal roads and the soft edges where town meets field. It suits minimalist interiors, especially in Blueprint.
