Fountainebleau is an unincorporated community in Miami-Dade County, west of central Miami and not far from the airport. From above, it follows the large section-line grid that shapes much of South Florida: long, straight roads running north to south and east to west, with residential developments filling the blocks between them.
Within those blocks, the pattern changes. Apartment complexes and condominiums are arranged around curving internal drives, parking courts and man-made lakes, which appear on the map as smooth-edged shapes of water. The Dolphin Expressway runs nearby, a strong line carrying traffic between the western suburbs and downtown Miami.
