Freha lies in the province of Tizi Ouzou in Kabylie, northeastern Algeria. The terrain here is rarely flat, and the map shows it in the way streets bend and branch to follow slopes and ridgelines rather than forming a regular grid.
The town combines a denser central area with scattered clusters of houses on the surrounding hills, a pattern common in Kabyle settlements. Olive groves and small fields fill much of the land between them, and roads link Freha to nearby towns across the valley and toward the larger regional centre of Tizi Ouzou.
