Gajwel is a town in Siddipet district, Telangana, on the Deccan plateau north of Hyderabad. On a map its older core is a dense cluster of narrow streets. From there, main roads run out in several directions, and new building follows them into the surrounding farmland.
The town is widely known in Telangana as the assembly constituency of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the state's first chief minister. In recent years the area has seen new roads and public projects.
