Galeras Map Poster & Print
Galeras is a municipality in the Sucre Department of northern Colombia, in the wide, low savannas of the Caribbean region. The land is flat and largely given over to cattle and farming. On the map the town forms a compact grid of streets around a central plaza, and the surrounding countryside opens up in every direction.
Streets in the centre follow a regular pattern of blocks, as in many towns founded in the Spanish colonial tradition. Toward the edges the grid loosens and gives way to rural roads that head across the plains to other towns in the savanna. Seasonal ponds and wetlands appear here and there in the lowland landscape.
A Galeras map poster shows the simple, open geometry of a savanna town: a clear central grid, long straight roads and wide space around them. The flatness of the land lets every line read clearly, and that suits the minimal black-and-white look well.

Savanna roads
Straight rural roads lead out across the flat grazing land toward neighbouring towns, giving the design long, calm lines that reach the edge of the frame.
Lowland water
Ponds and wetland patches appear across the surrounding plains, especially in the wet season. On the map they add soft, irregular shapes.

Galerasを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For families from Galeras, including those who have moved to Sincelejo, Cartagena, Bogotá or abroad, a map of the town brings back the plaza, the home streets and the open savanna around them.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or an anniversary. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order a $9 HD download or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
