Garner Map Poster & Print
Garner lies immediately south-east of Raleigh in Wake County, North Carolina. On a map it looks typical of the Triangle's growth: a small historic core along the railway and old main road, surrounded by curving residential streets, cul-de-sacs and shopping corridors, all threaded between creeks and patches of Piedmont woodland.
Interstate 40 and US 70 cross the area, giving the map strong diagonal lines, while Lake Benson on the south side adds a broad patch of water. The town took its name from a railway station and grew into a suburb as Raleigh expanded, and that layered history shows in the contrast between the older blocks and newer loops of housing.
A Garner map poster works well because suburban street patterns are surprisingly beautiful in black and white: loops, branches and dead ends form a delicate, almost botanical design. It is a natural choice for a first home, a family that has lived here for years or anyone who commutes into Raleigh.
