Railway junction
Several rail lines converge at Gonda Junction, and their long straight alignments stretch well beyond the city, crossing the street network at angles no ordinary road would take.

Gondā City Map Poster & Print
Gondā is the headquarters of its district and of the Devipatan division in eastern Uttar Pradesh, on the flat, fertile plain north of the Ghaghara river. The map reflects that setting. There are no hills or coastline to shape the city, so its form comes from roads and rails: a tight, irregular core of lanes and markets, with newer neighbourhoods spreading outward along the main routes.
The railway matters to Gondā's shape. Gonda Junction is an important stop on the North Eastern Railway, where several lines meet, and their tracks pass the city in long straight runs that cross the street pattern. Scattered ponds and tanks break up the built-up area, and they appear on the page as small, solid shapes among the finer lines of the lanes.
A Gondā City map poster shows a kind of place rarely seen as a print: an ordinary, busy district town of the Gangetic plain, drawn with the same care usually given to capitals. The dense centre, the fraying edges where streets meet farmland, and the confident lines of the railway together give the city a clear, readable character in monochrome.

Old city core
The historic centre is a dense tangle of narrow lanes and short connecting streets, with no formal grid, which produces the darkest and most intricate part of the print.
Tanks and ponds
Small bodies of water are scattered through and around the town, typical of the plain, and they show up as quiet solid shapes set into the surrounding lines.
