Homnābād is a town in Bidar district, in the northeastern corner of Karnataka, on the high Deccan plateau. From above, it shows a dense core of closely built streets, with newer areas extending along the main roads that connect it to Bidar, Kalaburagi and the routes toward Hyderabad. Around the built-up area, the landscape opens into dry agricultural land crossed by field tracks.
