Jeffersontown lies on the southeastern side of Louisville, Kentucky. Its core is an old town square where several roads meet, a layout that dates back to its early days as a separate settlement in the late eighteenth century. Around it, the map changes quickly to suburban streets.
Residential areas are laid out as winding streets and cul-de-sacs, while large business parks fill the flatter land near the interstates. A Jeffersontown map poster shows these different layers: the small historic centre, the curving subdivisions and the large, simple blocks of commercial land.
Each autumn, the town hosts the Gaslight Festival around its historic centre, a local tradition that draws visitors from across the Louisville area. On the map, the square remains the point where the main roads meet, even though the city has grown far beyond it.
