Johnston Map Poster & Print
Johnston lies just west of Providence in Rhode Island. In the east, near the city, the map shows a denser suburban pattern of streets and cul-de-sacs. Further west it opens into woodland, ponds and reservoirs, with country roads winding between them. Interstate 295 and US Route 6 cut through the town in broad, confident curves.
The Pocasset River runs through the eastern part of town, and Snake Den State Park preserves farmland and forest in the west. Johnston is also home to the Clemence-Irons House, a late 17th-century stone-ender, one of the oldest surviving houses of its type in the state.
A Johnston map poster shows the transition from city edge to countryside within one frame. The dense east and the open, water-dotted west balance each other. It suits residents and those who grew up there.
