Kanjari lies in Kheda district in central Gujarat, in the farming belt between Anand and Nadiad known as Charotar. The region is flat, well watered and densely settled, so towns and villages sit close together and are linked by a thick web of roads. On a map, Kanjari shows up as one bright node in that network.
The older part of town is a tight cluster of narrow lanes, where houses stand shoulder to shoulder around small open spaces. Newer housing spreads along the approach roads.
